The CIA worked with John McAslan & Partners to develop three proposals for permanent commissions by David Mach, Claire Morgan and Vong Phaophanit & Claire Oboussier for the Olympic Park Energy Centre (a sustainable energy centre that will provide onsite power, heating and cooling for the Olympic Games and the communities that will develop after 2012).
The proposed development includes the conservation of a retained Edwardian building which will house part of the required plant, as well as a visitor centre, offices, meeting facilities and a workshop. The centre forms part of the wider masterplan for the Lower Lea Valley regeneration.
